Single Action Harp
Jacob Hochbrucker (1673-1763)
A musician and maker of harps, lutes and violins, invented the pedal mechanism for harps approx 1720 – the single action harp has been created by him. This mechanism did allow the player to alter the strings sound of a semitone.
